Island Dynamics is a research consultancy and network builder with global reach, creating, developing, and organising mixed research/policy workshops and conferences and leading collaborative projects with partners from across Europe, Asia, North America, and the Arctic. Island Dynamics specialises in issues concerning both peripheral island communities and bustling island and coastal cities.
As an expert in cross-cultural research communication, Island Dynamics works to advance the strategic and research objectives of Chinese partners and clients, assisting them in communicating their ideas in a manner that meets the needs and expectations of international audiences. Island Dynamics has cooperated with state, university, and private research organisations and individuals in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, and Hainan Provinces as well as Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR. Island Dynamics’ work in China has focused on Chinese island and coastal urbanisation and development as well as Chinese engagement with island communities around the globe, for instance as part of the Belt & Road Initiative.
